I’m a retired GIS and geological technician (mapmaker) whose lifelong passion for photography and history continues to guide my creative work. Through the lens and on the page, I’ve always been drawn to places that hold stories, landscapes marked by time, and the people whose courage and faith shaped them.
My writing is rooted in family heritage, careful research, and a fascination with how the past defines who we are today. I’m especially inspired by the stories of my own family, how they came to America, the challenges they faced, and the faith that carried them through. I’m also drawn to the lives of ordinary men and women who faced extraordinary challenges and left quiet legacies of endurance and hope.
When I’m not writing, I can often be found behind a camera, exploring rural backroads, capturing the beauty of nature, or tracing the path of ancestors through forgotten towns and archives.
My debut novel, Upon These Shores, is inspired by true events from early America, a story of faith, freedom, and the unyielding spirit of a man who refused to surrender his soul.
